Enterprise Repository for SOA Governance
In August 2006, BEA Systems purchased privately held company Flashline to gain its enterprise repository for managing service-oriented architecture projects.
With the help of Sashi Kolli, Sharon Fay, and other Flashline and BEA team members, Flashline's flagship product, renamed AquaLogic Enterprise Repository, was integrated into BEA's existing governance-related tools.
In April 2008, Oracle acquired BEA Systems, Inc., to accelerate innovation by bringing together two companies with a common vision of a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) infrastructure. Together, Oracle and BEA provided a complementary best-in-class middleware portfolio. Sashi Kolli and Sharon Fay worked with BEA and Oracle teams to transform the AquaLogic Enterprise Repository into the Oracle Enterprise Repository, and integrate the repository into Oracle’s middleware portfolio.
